Doctoral and Master’s Degree Conferment Ceremony and Graduation Ceremony for the 29B Postgraduate Cohort

Representing Thuongmai University at the ceremony were Assoc. Prof., Dr. Bui Huu Duc – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council, along with members of the Party Executive Committee; Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Hoang – Rector; Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy – Director of the Graduate School; all heads of faculties and institutes managing training programs; heads of functional departments; lecturers teaching postgraduate courses; educational administrators; and notably nearly 300 new Doctors and Masters with their families, colleagues, and relatives. The ceremony also welcomed representatives from partner institutions, employers, and the Executive Board of the Graduate Alumni Network.

During the ceremony, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy – Director of the Graduate School, announced the decisions recognizing doctoral and master’s degrees and conferred the diplomas.

In his speech at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Hoang – Rector of Thuongmai University warmly congratulated the new Doctors and Masters. He emphasized that our country is entering a new era of development with profound changes in the knowledge economy, science, technology, and artificial intelligence. Now more than ever, Vietnam needs scientists, business executives, and talented experts in economics to contribute to national advancement during a period of international integration, full of opportunities but also challenges. With well-structured strategic orientations, Thuongmai University has become a solid foundation for future scientists, entrepreneurs, and managers. The tireless spirit of study and research demonstrated by the new Doctors and Masters is a testament to the University’s achievements in training and nurturing talents who contribute to the country’s development.

Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Hoang reminded the graduates that the doctoral and master’s degrees they receive today are a testament to their perseverance and passion for science, reflecting their ability to overcome a challenging and demanding journey. From this point, a new journey begins, full of opportunities and promising achievements ahead. The University highly values your dedication, effort, and seriousness throughout your academic journey. From now on, you are not only members of the Thuongmai University Graduate Alumni Network but also ambassadors of knowledge for the University, carrying the responsibility to contribute to shaping the future of the nation. I am confident that with courage, ambition, and an innovative spirit, you will lead in many fields, connecting academic knowledge with practical development in business, community, and the country. Regardless of your position, always uphold and spread the core values of Thuongmai University: Tradition – Responsibility – Creativity. The University will always accompany, trust, welcome, and appreciate your valuable contributions to collective development, for a strong and prosperous Vietnam.

Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Hoang also expressed gratitude and acknowledged the silent but highly effective contributions, dedication, and professionalism of the University’s scientists, faculty members, and educational administrators, who have devoted their hearts and minds to training, playing a vital role in the sustainable development of the University.

Representing the new Doctors and Masters, Master Chu Thanh Hieu – former postgraduate student of class 29B in Business Administration – expressed deep honor and gratitude. The new Master shared that choosing Thuongmai University was the right decision, a place to trust for learning, research, and professional development. Looking back, he highlighted the extraordinary efforts of the new Doctors and Masters, balancing work responsibilities, family, and full-time study and research. He emotionally shared: “That period was extremely stressful and challenging, at times making us want to give up. Yet overcoming these challenges transformed us – our knowledge, thinking, problem-solving approaches, and resilience under pressure.” Master Chu Thanh Hieu affirmed that the achievement today is not only a prestigious degree but also a valuable intellectual foundation and life experience. This is not the final destination, but the beginning of a bright new journey. On this journey, each new Doctor and Master carries the responsibility to demonstrate the quality of the University’s training by creatively applying acquired knowledge in practice, contributing to societal development. On behalf of all new Doctors and Masters, he expressed boundless gratitude to family, deep respect for teachers, and a desire to continue advanced studies while actively participating in the Graduate Alumni Network, thereby preserving and promoting the University’s noble traditions.

During the ceremony, Thuongmai University also announced the establishment of the Alumni Liaison Committee for class 29B within the Graduate Alumni Network, operating under the motto “Connect – Share – Accompany – Succeed.” This committee will serve as a bridge linking the University’s teaching and research activities with business and management practice, laying the groundwork for a professional, modern learning environment aligned with real-world needs and societal demands.

The graduation ceremony concluded successfully amid the joy and pride of the new Doctors, Masters, their families, and friends, opening a promising new chapter filled with aspiration and dedication.
