Thuongmai University Receives and Works with Kaohsiung National University of Hospitality and Tourism – Taiwan
At 9:00 on March 20, 2018, representatives of Kaohsiung National University of Hospitality and Tourism visited and worked at Thuongmai University. Attending the meeting, on the side of Thuongmai University were A/Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Loan - Vice Rector of the University; A/Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Nguyen Hong - Head of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism and representatives of the Department of External Affairs and Communications; on the side of Kaohsiung National University, were Ms. Charline Chen, Head of International Cooperation Department and Ms. Kimberly Chiang, general manager of the International Culinary Arts program.
At the beginning of the meeting, A/Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Loan introduced the history and training majors of Thuongmai University, and identified the cooperation opportunities that have been successfully implemented with international partners such as lecturer exchanges, student exchanges, training cooperation, building and developing affiliate programs, etc.
During the meeting, the two schools discussed the potential for future cooperation, especially the possibility of cooperation on hospitality and tourism. In addition, Kaohsiung National University of Hospitality and Tourism also introduced the facilities, training programs and special features of the school. At the end of the meeting, the two schools also expressed their aspirations to expand cooperative relations and more opportunities to study, cooperate and conduct scientific research and internships for students and lecturers of both universities besides existing training programs.
