Leaders Representing the Co-Organizing Universities of ICYREB 2025

The conference was attended by leaders representing the co-organizing universities, including University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, University of Economics – Vietnam National University Hanoi, Banking Academy, Academy of Finance, National Economics University, Foreign Trade University, Thuongmai University, University of Economics – Hue University, and University of Economics and Law – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City.

From Thuongmai University, the delegation included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Van Su – Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Loan – Former Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Nhan – Head of the Department of Scientific Management and International Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Duc Hieu – Director of the Institute of Accounting and Auditing (session chair), together with lecturers presenting their research papers both onsite and online

 

Thuongmai University’s Delegation Participating in the Conference

ICYREB 2025 aimed to establish and foster an academic environment for sharing ideas and scientific research results among young scholars in the fields of economics and business. The conference served as a forum for discussing contemporary issues in economics, management, and business in the connected era. It focused on key topics such as digital transformation, circular economy, sustainable development, and corporate governance, while also promoting young researchers’ capacity building through knowledge sharing, academic exchange, and scientific publication.

 

During the plenary session, two international keynote speakers delivered insightful presentations:

  • Dr. Robert Radics – Lincoln University, New Zealand, with the topic “Green Supply Chains and the Circular Economy”, analyzing the integration between strategic management and efficient resource utilization.

  • Prof. Gary Lit – former professor at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, with the topic “Globalization and De-Globalization”, discussing the shifts in global economic structures and their impacts on businesses and policymaking.

Following the plenary session, the conference continued with 13 parallel sessions (6 in the morning and 7 in the afternoon), featuring 176 papers under the main theme “Contemporary Issues in Economics, Management, and Business in the Connected Era.” Discussions centered on current topics such as digital transformation, circular economy, sustainable development, corporate governance, and the enhancement of young researchers’ academic capabilities through knowledge exchange and scientific publication.

Thuongmai University proudly had 23 research papers published in the conference proceedings, with 4 papers selected for oral presentation. Notably, 2 papers received the Best Paper Award for outstanding research contributions:

  • “The Impact of Self-Efficacy and Social Media on the Entrepreneurial Interests of Vietnamese Youth” by Vu Thi Thuy Hang, Pham Thi Thanh Huyen, and Khuong Thi Hong.

  • “Legal Issues on General Terms and Conditions of E-Commerce Platforms under Vietnamese Law” by Phung Bich Ngoc, Tran Ngoc Diep, and Tran Thi Thu Phuong

Particularly, within the framework of the conference, leaders of the 10 co-organizing institutions held a friendly meeting to discuss and reach consensus on future collaboration. During the meeting, the rotating flag was officially handed over to the Banking Academy, which will host the 12th International Conference for Young Researchers in Economics and Business (ICYREB 2026) next year.

The ICYREB 2025 Conference concluded successfully, marking another significant milestone in strengthening scientific research collaboration among young scholars in the fields of economics and business.
